The Analytic Polynomial Time Hierarchy
نویسندگان
چکیده
Motivated by results on interactive proof systems we investigate an 9-8-hierarchy over P using word quantifiers as well as two types of set quantifiers. This hierarchy, which extends the (arithmetic) polynomial-time hierarchy, is called the analytic polynomial-time hierarchy. It is shown that every class of this hierarchy coincides with one of the following classes: pk, pk (k 0), PSPACE, exp k or exp k (k 1). This improves previous results by Orponen [6] and allows interesting comparisons with the above mentioned results on interactive proof systems.

Bounding Queries in the Analytic Polynomial-Time Hierarchy
In a previous paper the present authors [4] investigated an 9-8-hierarchy over P using word quantifiers as well as two types of set quantifiers, the so called analytic polynomial-time hierarchy. The fact that some constructions there result in a bounded number of oracle queries and the recent PCP results which can be expressed by set quantifiers with a bounded number of queries motivated us to ...
متن کاملOperators of higher order
Motivated by results on interactive proof systems we investigate the computational power of quantifiers applied to well-known complexity classes. In special, we are interested in existential, universal and probabilistic bounded error quantifiers ranging over words and sets of words, i.e. oracles if we think in a Turing machine model. In addition to the standard oracle access mechanism, we also ...
متن کاملSelecting Hospital\'s Key Performance Indicators, Using Analytic Hierarchy Process Technique
Introduction: hospitals performance indicators will help monitoring, evaluation and decision making and therefore must be selected and ranked accurately. The aim of present study is identifying and selecting key hospitals performance indicators. Materials and methods: This is a descriptive and mixed (quantitative-qualitative) study. literature review and expert panel has been done to identif...
متن کاملAnalysis of the Utility of Economic Sectors in Achieving Agricultural Development: Applying an Analytic Hierarchy Process
ABSTRACT- According to article 44 of the I.R. of Iran Constitution, the Iranian economy consists of three sectors; the state, the cooperative, and the private sectors. The aim of this study was to present a hierarchy of criteria for selecting the best economic sector for agricultural development. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to calculate the relative importance of either criteria o...
متن کاملSufficient Conditions for a New Class of Polynomial Analytic Functions of Reciprocal Order alpha
In this paper, we consider a new class of analytic functions in the unit disk using polynomials of order alpha. We give some sufficient conditions for functions belonging to this class.
